After making a fortune in the wool industry in 1856, Mr. Pommery decided to retire from business but this was short lived when his wife discovered to be a expecting a child. To be able to provide for his family, Mr. Pommery decided to go back into business in Champagne production, becoming one of the region’s largest brands. In July 1868, Madame Pommery launched the largest project of the century in Reims—Domaine Pommery—the eclectic architectural style estate which measures 50 hectares.

Pommery has 34,000 hectares of vineyards in Champagne and 255 hectares vineyards that utilize the sustainable wine growing methods. Pommery has consistently produced exquisite Champagne, highlighted by its Cuvée Louise. Cuvée Louise is made using exclusive Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes— creating a light, elegant, and pure wine.
