As a small producer located in the Ribera del Duero region of Spain, Domaine de Pingus is a producer who rose to fame instantly thanks to endless praise from critic Robert Parker in the Wine Advocate. The Tempranillo-based wine is known for its high concentration, density, and minerality. Considered one of the greatest producers in all of Spain, the estate is recognized for its production from old vines planted in various locations to mainly gravel and sand over chalky subsoils. The estate also makes second label wines that are more classic examples of the Ribera del Duero style, and are just as hotly sought-after.
