Jacques Prieur

It would be an understatement to say that the vineyard holdings of Domaine Jacques Prieur are great. The domaine is the only property in Burgundy that owns vineyard holdings in five of the region’s most prestigious Grand Crus including: Montrachet, Corton, Echézeaux , Musigny, and Chambertin. The history of this famous domaine begins in the 1860s with the marriage of Claude Duvergey and Marie Taboureau.

After years of investing in viticulture and purchasing vineyards throughout the 1800s in the most sought after appellations in the Côte d'Or, Taboureau left the estate to her great nephew, Jacques Prieur. In 1956, the domaine changed its name to that of the new owner, and today is operated by the Labruyere family.
