Faust

Faust Wines is a Napa Valley wine producer making varietal Cabernet Sauvignon wines. It was first produced in 2002 by Agustin Huneeus of Quintessa, and is made in Quintessa's Napa winery with fruit from both Rutherford and Coombsville. Faust vineyard is located in Coombsville, one of Napa's cooler AVAs. This vineyard is composed of well-draining river rock and mineral-rich volcanic ash and is mostly planted to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with small amounts of Petit Verdot, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc. Faust also sources Cabernet Sauvignon from growers in other established Napa Valley AVAs including Yountville, Mount Veeder, St. Helena, Atlas Peak and Rutherford.

The grand vin is primarily produced from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon grown at Quintessa's vineyard in Rutherford and the estate vineyard in Coombsville. The Pact and The Lure are limited-edition wines from specific vineyards that are aged in 50 percent new French oak for 19 months and aged in bottle before release.
