The Allegrini Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2016 is a flagship wine from the esteemed Allegrini family, known for their long-standing heritage in the Veneto region. This Amarone is crafted from a blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and the rare Oseleta grape. The grapes undergo a meticulous drying process for 100-120 days before fermentation, followed by 18 months of aging in French barriques and large casks. The 2016 vintage showcases rich flavors of dark fruits like blackberry and plum, complemented by notes of leather, spice, and licorice. Its velvety texture is balanced by smooth tannins and a lively acidity, making it a perfect candidate for aging. The wine's complexity is enhanced with nuances of dark chocolate and clove, culminating in a luxurious finish.
