One of the largest and most respected producers in Burgundy, Faiveley is now on its seventh generation and is still growing. Known for consistent quality and its huge range of appellations, this family company has it all. With each new generation comes a difference in wine making style but critical acclaim is always the same. White or red, estate or negociant, Faiveley is a winner.
The Faiveley Latricières Chambertin 2016 is a distinguished Pinot Noir from the renowned Burgundy region, produced by the historic Domaine Faiveley, established in 1825. Sourced from the Grand Cru site of Latricières-Chambertin, this wine benefits from cool, stony slopes that enhance its elegance. The 2016 vintage was marked by frost and low yields, necessitating meticulous sorting. The wine is vinified with some whole clusters and aged for 16 to 18 months in predominantly new French oak. Tasting notes reveal a harmonious blend of blackcurrant and blackberry, with floral hints of violet and a complex minerality. The robust structure and fine tannins suggest excellent aging potential.
