This estate remains family-owned and is currently under the direction of Burlotto’s great-niece, Mariana Burlotto, and her husband, Giuseppe Alessandria. While their son, Fabio, has introduced modern techniques, they have served to enhance the qualitative achievement of this estate’s traditionally oriented wines. In addition to the aforementioned Barolos, the winery produces Dolcetto, Barbera, and several wines under the Langhe DOC appellation.
Comm. G.B. Burlotto's Barolo Acclivi 2016 exemplifies the heritage of Piedmont with its blend of select Verduno vineyards. This 100% Nebbiolo wine showcases a rich and complex profile with vibrant aromas of wild red berries, mint, and floral notes. The palate reveals layers of crushed raspberry, pomegranate, and herbal spice, complemented by a long, savory finish. With a remarkable balance of taut tannins and refreshing acidity, this wine is built for aging and promises to evolve beautifully over the decades. Crafted from a selection of old vines across esteemed crus, it reflects the essence of Barolo while offering a captivating depth and intensity.
