La Gardine Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2003 is a full-bodied red wine from the renowned Brunel family estate, established in 1945. Known for its distinctive 'crumpled' bottle design, this Grenache-dominated blend showcases the rich character of the hot 2003 vintage. It offers a plush mouthfeel with aromas of kirsch, fig, and blackberry liqueur, complemented by garrigue, licorice, and hints of cocoa and smoked meat. Aged in large foudres and some barrique, it has developed a velvety texture and low acidity, making it fully mature and ready to enjoy. Best paired with lamb or Provençale daube.
