Fourrier

Based out of Gevrey-Chambertin in the Côte d'Or region of Burgundy is the highly sought after Domaine Fourrier. The estate is known for their silky Pinot Noir wines made from Premier Cru vines that are more than 30 years old. Fernand Pernot founded the estate in the 1930s and enlisted in the assistance of his nephew, Jean-Claude Fourrier, who took full reign of the winery in 1969. In 1994, Jean-Marie Fourrier, son of Jean-Claude, re-branded the winery by combining his modern winemaking-techniques with his father’s traditional methods. Since Jean-Marie’s changes to the already well-established estate, the domaine has produced wines that are an iconic representation of Burgundy full of intensity and complexity, and critics rave that a range of Fourrier’s vintages will bear witness to the developing legacy of one of the Côte de Nuits’ most important domains.
