Thenard

Domaine Baron Thénard is one of the largest holders of vines in the famed Le Montrachet Grand Cru with two major plots in the southern, Chassagne-Montrachet, section of the climat. The Domaine was founded in the mid-19th Century, although the family reputedly had vineyard holdings dating back to the previous century. Until the earl 2000s, Baron Thénard had strong ties with the Burgundian négociant house, Remoissenet, which bottled much of its production. Today, the Domaine bottles much of its wines under its own label, although it has sold some portions of its production to other négociants in Burgundy.
