Château Lynch-Bages

Château Lynch-Bages is a famous Medoc estate, west of Pauillac, located in Bages, known for crafting enormous, ageable reds. The wine is a predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon blend, with of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The Dejean family developed and sold the vineyard in 1728 to Pierre Drouillard who then left it to his daughter and her husband, Thomas Lynch. Their 200+ acres are planted on a ridge of well-drained soil made up of gravel beds over limestone. Lynch-Bages is one of the most celebrated, cherished and renowned wines if the world and certainly outshine their Fifth Growth 1855 classification.
