astello di Ama is an Italian producer, found the Chianti Classico region in Tuscany. It is particularly known for its range of single-vineyard Gran Selezione red wines. The estate has about 75 hectares (185 acres) of vineyards, all within a two-miles radius of the village of Ama. Vineyard holdings include the San Lorenzo, La Casuccia and Bellavista plots with each producing a single-vineyard Gran Selezione DOCG. Bellavista is generally regarded as the most elegant, La Casuccia the richest and lushest, with San Lorenzo somewhere in the middle.
