Simon Bize

Dating back to 1880 in the Burgundian region of Savigny-lès-Beaune is the esteemed Domaine Simon Bize. Although it was a difficult viticultural period, father and son, both names Simon Bize, began operating and managing vineyard parcels, and as time evolved and technology grew, the vineyard work became easier. The domain’s reputation quickly grew locally to both individuals and restaurants, and by the 1980s Patrick Bize, part of the fourth-generation, took over the estate and assisted in further growth by developing the winemaking facilities, extending the cellars and purchasing more parcels. Following Patrick’s passing in 2013, his sister and wife are now the leaders of the establishment. The extensive portfolio is based around the village and premier cru vineyard plots, along with Aloxe-Corton, Corton-Charlamagne, and Latriciéres Chambertin.
