Ceretto

“Whoever drinks [our] wines can see the vineyards from which they originated. The vineyard is history, the names of the hills remain, unchanged over time, enhancing the quality and credibility of the wines produced here. You can search for, visit and physically touch a vineyard…always.” –Ceretto Family

One of the top-quality Barolo and Barbaresco producers in Piedmont, Ceretto was founded by Ricardo Ceretto in 1930 and has become famous for being the founder of the single-vineyard Barolo movement. The Ceretto family has become one of the largest vineyard proprietors in Piedmont with now over 400 acres of estate-owned vineyards, mostly located in Langhe and Roero. After growing considerably in the 1970s, the company built two wineries: Bricco Roche, located in Barolo, and Bricco Asili, located in Barbaresco. The wineries were named after vineyard sites in their respective appellations, and were created to produce wines only from those specific vineyards that were chosen in the mid-20th Century. Today, the winery is under the leadership of Alessandro Ceretto, although production is and will be a continuous family endeavor.
