Ad Vivum
Ad Vivum is a long awaited project of beloved and seasoned Napa Valley winemaker, Chris Phelps. The wines are made of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from a micro-block located within the Sleeping Lady vineyards in Yountville, just along the perimeter of the Mayacamas Mountains. The first vintage was 2007, and each year, the wine has grown with the acute winemaking skills as well as utilization of some of Napa's exceptional sites
Tasting Notes

- The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautiful, understated wine graced with expressive red berries, flowers, spices and licorice. There is lovely purity and finesse to be found in this generous, inviting wine. The firm 2008 tannin that marks so many wines in this vintage is nowhere to be found. I suppose there is no substitute for working many of the best vineyards in Napa Valley. This is a terrific showing. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2018.
