

After training in the Sine Qua Non cellar for eight years, Maggie Harrison got the chance to produce her own label from a small portion of the prestigious White Hawk Vineyard in Santa Barbara County. With that, she released the first vintage of 2004 Lillian Syrah and has continued to produce wines from the vineyard as well as the Bien Nacido Vineyard in Santa Maria Valley, and the Stolpman Vineyard in the Santa Ynez Valley. The wines are fermented with native yeasts and are unfined and unfiltered which further adds to the finesse and elegance of Lillian.
The Lillian Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 is a distinguished red from California, crafted by Maggie Harrison, known for her meticulous approach in small lots sourced from select Napa Valley sites. The 2016 vintage benefits from a long and even growing season, resulting in a wine marked by purity and finesse. It features a rich profile of blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum, complemented by floral notes of violets and the minerality of graphite. Full-bodied with well-integrated, polished tannins, this wine has a notable lift, making it suitable for immediate enjoyment or long-term aging in magnum format, with optimal drinking suggested from now until 2040.
