Williams Selyem
Ed Selyem and Burt Williams pursued their winemaking dream in a garage in Forestville, California. Their first vintage was produced in 1982 and within five years, their demand exceeded supply and a wait list was created. Selyem fans had to wait, at times, up to three years to purchase one of these delectable bottles! They quickly gained cult status and set a new standard for Pinot Noir. Now the Dyson family owns the winery and is still created outstanding Pinot Noir.
Tasting Notes
- WE95
- Super-rich, a fat, opulent Chard that tastes almost as sweet as a dessert, except it's dry. Shows massive flavors of Meyer lemon custard, minerals, pear tart, buttered toast, butterscotch, smoky pie crust and honey, with a sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg. Lush and gorgeous.
- WA92
- The light straw-colored 2007 Chardonnay Allen Vineyard exhibits a gorgeous bouquet of subtle pineapple, white peach, and honey along with terrific minerality, very good acidity, loads of concentration, and a beautiful, fresh, lively finish.
