Williams Selyem
Ed Selyem and Burt Williams pursued their winemaking dream in a garage in Forestville, California. Their first vintage was produced in 1982 and within five years, their demand exceeded supply and a wait list was created. Selyem fans had to wait, at times, up to three years to purchase one of these delectable bottles! They quickly gained cult status and set a new standard for Pinot Noir. Now the Dyson family owns the winery and is still created outstanding Pinot Noir.

- The 2007 vintage was a fabulous one for Williams Selyem, and the Zinfandels benefited from the cool, balanced growing season. The Papera is a big, rich, jammy wine, but also a drily elegant one. It offers waves of raspberry, Fig Newton, red currant and Canadian bacon flavors, with superfine tannins. Editors' Choice.

- Deep ruby color. Intense, floral-accented aromas of raspberry, cherry, anise and black tea. Extremely fresh in the mouth, offering sweet red berry preserve flavors and a supple texture. Becomes juicier with air, picking up a tangy note of blood orange. The finish repeats the sweet red fruit notes and hangs on impressively.
